So Some of you may recall the accident I was in about two weeks ago (nothing major).
Well the guy is now filing a claim against me. Cliff notes: guy cut me off, jacked on his brakes, I tapped his bumper, third party witness verified my story, he was cited for reckless driving and driving to endanger.
I attempted to take the high road on this and not file a claim as all the damage to my jeep was A scratch on the bumper. but seriously, WTF is wrong with people.

I remember the story. What leg can he stand on? It's your word and a witness's against his. Plus the cops clearly believed the witness.

There are some old people who are d-bags.
Thankfully, it's 20% of the population.

Fuck him, file a claim for a new bumper. Let the insurance companies fight it out and drive up his rates even more.

I would say that the majority are younger drivers, who know that litigating is always a potential bonanza. Not to rule out older drivers, but I would seriously think younger are the most likely to do this. Could be wrong.

Funny you should mention that - some guy in a Durango (looks to be in his early 30s) became a dickhead when he disregarded a green right arrow and then proceeded to repeatedly cut off me and some Civic.

He's probably suffering from some mental illness caused by old age or something.

If you haven't already, you should contact an auto accident attorney. It sounds like you have a pretty legit case. A quick email explaining your situation costs nothing, risks nothing, but could potentially pay off big time.
Peter Rotatori, III represented me earlier this year, did an excellent job, and I paid nothing. Of course he's in CT, but it's just an example.

I had a lady reverse into me in my dad's car while it was parked and try to claim Dad's Subaru Brat/Brumby ran up the back of her. All it took was the police report number to get the insurance company to go away.
